I booked room on booking.com which calls it a small double room. I paid no attention to 'small' since hotel rooms in Japan are mostly small anyway. Got an unpleasant surprise, it is really small. More accurate to describe it as a single room. Also, room didn't get made up, towels didn't get changed and rubbish bin didn't get cleared - polite reception staff can't make up for this lack of service. ...

Good hotel, excellent breakfast with mix of continental and japanese options. Rooms are small but very functional, very informative decks. Good location near the train station and with couple of bus lines which take you to the temples etc. Only negative note is the self laundry: the hotel is quite big but they have only 3 laundries. You may get a room for a decent price. Rooms are too tiny as well. Breakfast is good. Location is good near to train station. Please don’t use the laundry over there rather please go outside and do the nearest one as their laundry is a coin eater and won’t work properly

Everything was perfect. The staff made sure to give us two rooms next to each other, thank you for that. The hotel is well located, a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, right next to a 7-Eleven and opposite a very nice little café. The welcome was pleasant and impeccable, a special thanks to Anyah for her patience and kindness !

Everything was perfect! Check in without any issues. Extremely polite and helpful staff. A lot of clever things and solutions in hotel. Rooms are small but that’s the thing you know beforehand. Great place to have a rest after whole day of activities.

Take the JR Haruka Express from Kansai Airport to Kyoto Station. Exit the Hachijo Gate and walk 550m north along Horikawa Street (about 6–7 minutes) to the hotel.
