Babies are welcome and one restroom has a diaper table, yet paths get bumpy and crowded, no nursing room or stroller rental exists; bring a carrier and confirm toilet location in advance.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for stroller-friendly walks, feeding breaks, and an optional rickshaw ride without rushing.
Stroller-friendly stroll:
Follow the paved loop around the pond to see teahouses and statues.
Tip: Use a baby carrier on uneven patches and avoid peak crowds around noon.
Snack and feeding break:
Sit on benches by the pond or under trees for bottle feeds or baby snacks.
Tip: Bring portable baby food and water; park vendors sell small snacks too.
Rickshaw ride:
Enjoy a 30-minute guided rickshaw tour inside the park.
Tip: Ask the operator about baby seating and weight limits before you board.
Diaper-changing facility:
Use the multi-purpose restroom near Chion-in’s south gate for diaper changes.
Tip: Carry your own wipes and a small mat; this free facility has a baby seat.
Picnic under the weeping cherry:
Spread a blanket beneath the 200-year-old shidarezakura tree.
Tip: Arrive early in spring to secure a flat spot and avoid crowds.

A beautiful park beside Yasaka Shrine you can stroll here while waiting for the night to see the beautiful lanterns of Yasaka Shrine. There is also a lake here that helps you relax. There are also benches within the park so you can rest if you get tired. The best day to go here is at spring as the park will be full of cherry blossoms ❤️

The place is so nice even though it is crowded. Nice place, unfortunately when we came here it was too crowded. So we cannot really enjoyed the view. Hopefully i can come here again during low season or early morning when people hasn’t come yet. Don’t forget to bring cash to buy food and drinks here.

**Kyoto’s Hidden Evening Charm** At night, this place transforms—quieter, calmer, and utterly peaceful. No matter where you start, every main road seems to lead you right to it.

In Indonesia, fried ubi (sweet potato) costs 5,000 rupiah and can fi...
