Irori Guest House Tenmaku (solo trip)

Some of the best hospitality I’ve ever had. Has this cute lil get together where you pay 2,000 yen and get to eat with other people staying with you. I cannot stress enough how much fun I’ve had meeting the staff and participating in their events.

The perfect lodgings for my stay in Hakone. The hosts were all super friendly, and the dinner they host is a great way to break bread and meet other guests. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to view Mt Fugi and the surrounds Will be back Much love Yoshi

Cozy and traditional guesthouse with a warm atmosphere. Dinner (¥2000) is a highlight — served around a fire pit with assorted meats, vegetables, rice, and miso soup. If you prefer to cook, there’s a fully equipped kitchen you can use freely. Clean, comfortable, and full of charm. A great way to enjoy genuine Hakone hospitality.

I had an amazing stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the guests at the hostel were very social too. In the evening there was a traditional group meal the guests can partake in, which was an amazing experience. The guesthouse facilities were great, and I really liked the common room/bar area. In the evening, the hall is open as a social gathering place, and in the morning, it becomes a sunlit spot for warm conversations — a truly wonderful space. The staff are all cheerful and courteous, leaving a very positive impression. It also seems that there are many guests from Europe, and everyone appeared to get along well.
