Best hotel that we have ever stayed in, extremely kind staff, clean and luxurious rooms, lovely private onsen on the rooftop. Will hopefully be able to visit again!

We booked standard double room. It is compact but well appointed. If you are travelling with more than one suitcase you will find it hard to fit. The bed is comfortable and the bath is still onsen hot water. The hotel is well located of the flat part of town near the river. There is parking available but it is about 15 minutes away by walking.

We really enjoyed our stay. Amenities were good. Their late check in was not a problem as we dropped our bags off and investigated the area. The private outdoor bath was great and we were able to relax in the area as there was a daybed. It was so nice to be able to sit outside. It was so peaceful. We would definitely stay again.

Really nice and zen-like hotel. Small and quiet, a bit dark in halls and reception area and staff were not always around, but they were helpful when available on call. Amenities are standard though nothing spectacular compared to other ...

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Zagakukan. We were greeted by a warm, friendly man at check in. The room was a lot bigger than we were expecting, bed was comfortable and the private rooftop onsen was welcome treat after a long day out on the loop. Conveniently located within the main town, so it was easy to get to/from the station.
