I stayed at here and had a great experience. The hot spring was very relaxing, and the room was clean and comfortable. Although there’s a bit of a hill to climb and There are no nearby convenience stores and restaurants, the peaceful atmosphere made it worth it.

Stayed here based on booking.com reviews. Overall my consensus is it serves its basic purpose of a place to sleep with onsen but that's where it ends. You can stay in nicer places around for the same price. I would even stretch your budget if you can to get better. Pros: Bus stop nearby. It's clean. Staff are lovely and helpful. Private onsen is nice. Futon in the room is comfortable. Toiletries ...

Pro Lovely traditional royaken hotel, with futon beds and onsen; friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful setting. We had a free pass to the neighbouring hotel's hot spa and onsen as well. Nice and convenient for Gora and Owakadani. Con Doesn't serve food, except a few cakes, coffee, and orange for breakfast. Quite a steep hill from station to hotel (not for the weak - 500m from station but 300m...

Our stay at Kowakien Miyamafurin was absolutely wonderful. Loved their Japanese style rooms. Service was excellent. Though they did not have a lot of breakfast options, they did provide the best for a hotel without any restaurant. The location is just 100 meters from the Horaein Bus stop. Overall, an extremely wonderful experience and would definitely visit again sometime in the near future.

The staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed the calm surrounding the hotel which only has few rooms and the nice ryokan feel of the room and its own outdoor/indoor onsen. It s located few minutes by foot from Yunesun spa and the bus stop, but the passage le...
