OMG the food and dining experience is worth a visit alone, we stayed at a ryukan that was significantly more expensive and the dining experience can't match this one. I don't think it's a stretch to say that the accommodation itself is well passed it's best and it appears that significant renovations are currently underway, however this did not detract from the comfort or enjoyment of our stay as ...

Absolutely beautiful historical ryokan with hot springs. Impeccable Japanese hospitality with delicious food. The only complaint I have was that there was a lot of mold and mildew in the indoor bath in the room which I cleaned up with towels. That should have been taken care by the cleaning staff.

They had gluten free soy sauce and each breakfast and dinner was delicious Japanese style food, a real treat. We had a private op...

Our room was dingy, ...

I really appreciated the variety of room options and the overall quality of the rooms. Everything was quite clean, though there was a slight room for improvement in that area. The pricing was reasonab...
