This was a fantastic stay! The food was the best I had in my 2 weeks in Japan with A5 steak, luxury fruits and veg, and incredible service with meals in a private luxurious room (not the bedroom). The service was top notch. You can't find service like this in the USA regardless how much you pay. The attention to detail and care was evident in every aspect of the stay. I needed to go to the pharmac...

Let me start off by saying, if you gave this hotel less than 5 stars… you’re crazy. This place was EVERYTHING. The service, rooms, food, hot springs and amenities are perfection. We came here to enjoy relaxing after spending a week in the big city and I’m glad we did. Book your stay here if you are coming to Hakone. We don’t want to leave. Thank you to all the staff at Centurion Bettei! You made o...

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Our favorite stay in Japan. The staff were so friendly. They went above and beyond and treated us like royalty. The tranquility of the location was much needed. I was not expecting the food to be a highlight but it was ridiculously good. One night we were even served A5 Wagyu and never left hungry. Definitely recommend to anyone going to Hakone.

Very exclusive hotel, and the service/amenities were absolutely great experiences. If this is within your budget, the quiet environment and traditional meals will give you a cultural exposure that is hard to replicate.
