Stations give elevators and a small nursing room, yet valley fumes, uneven ground, and helmet-required vent tour limit comfort; parents must carry or fold strollers for most areas.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time for the ropeway, egg tasting, museum visit, and baby breaks without rushing.
Hakone Ropeway Family Ride:
Take the gondola from Sounzan to Owakudani for volcanic valley and Mt. Fuji views.
Tip: Fold your stroller at boarding and ask staff for assistance.
Kuro-Tamago Tasting:
Buy black eggs at the station shop to enjoy the legend without hiking steep trails.
Tip: Share a five-egg pack and let baby watch the shells turn black.
Baby Rest Area:
Use the station’s private nursing and diaper-changing room.
Tip: Ask a staff member to unlock it; elevators connect all floors.
Hakone GeoMuseum Info Zone:
Visit the free indoor exhibits as a quiet rest space.
Tip: Stay until baby naps in the calm, flat-floor area.

Beautiful mining place on the top Of the mountain. You get to it through the ropeway. Do not go back the way you came up and rather continue to the lake and take the pirate ship back. This is the best way to do the circle.

Tourist Tourist Tourist, we were there during the summer and the Japanese school holiday. There place is full to the brim. Restaurants are packed. No place to sit at all. The top there, sulfur smell is quite strong. Got to the try their famous black egg. The was a saying that you eat one black egg, you will be 7 years younger !

Give the local specialty, the black eggs, a try, although they taste just like regular boiled eggs.
