What makes it 67% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly central square, diaper table, baby seat, and staff-arranged nursing spot support infants, but uneven side paths and no stroller rental demand extra care.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for stroller-friendly strolls, lake views, and a teahouse break
Stroll the central plaza:
Walk on flat lawns near the lake edge.
Tip: Stick to the paved paths; avoid rocky shores with the stroller.
Visit the Lakeside Observation Building:
See Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji from ground-floor windows or upstairs balcony.
Tip: Use a baby carrier to reach the second floor for the best views.
Take a teahouse break:
Enjoy matcha or coffee with sweets at Ryokushian Teahouse.
Tip: Order takeout to sip on a bench if your baby needs space.
Picnic under cherry blossoms:
Spread a mat on the lawn for snacks or a light lunch.
Tip: Visit in mid-April for full bloom and bring a picnic blanket.

Taking the coastal path was a little challenging but beautiful views! All worth it! Glad we made it last minute before heading home.

Nice sightseeing destination. After the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, highly recommend visiting Hakone for some peace. Do be warned, this park is in a very mountainous region and thus is quite a hike. Views of the surrounding mountain forests and lake are absolutely worth it.

The imperial Island gives you an astonishing view over lake ashi. The Parc has some steep stairs when choosing the way by the lake. Some paths were closed because of the deep ground caused by the winter spring weather.

Great spot to see a beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Signs are very helpful throughout the park. The grounds crew does an amazing job to keep the park looking beautiful. Easy to access via public transport with a bus station right outside of it. Glad we stopped here!

Nice hilly park with some lovely views of the lake. We couldn’t see Mount Fuji as the cloud was too low but the plaque at the top of the hill said you could. Lovely and peaceful for a walk away from the tourists.
Cherry blossoms bloom mid-April; come early April to avoid crowds. Hydrangeas peak in June. Autumn leaves color from late November.
