What makes it 50% Baby-Friendly: Babies can enter and stroller paths exist, but no listed nursing room, diaper table, or stroller rental, and fragile glass zones plus some stairs demand constant, tiring parental vigilance.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to stroll gardens, visit the café, browse galleries and shop without rushing a baby.
Garden Walk & Scenic Views:
Push your stroller along smooth Venetian-style paths lined with glass trees and fountains.
Tip: Bring a lightweight stroller; paths near water can be damp after rain.
Café Terrace Break:
Relax on La Canzone’s outdoor terrace while enjoying light snacks and live Italian canzoni.
Tip: Ask staff for a stroller-friendly spot; order small cakes or fruit tea to keep it gentle for baby.
Gallery Viewing & Quiet Rooms:
Carry your baby through the indoor Venetian and modern glass exhibits in calm, silent rooms.
Tip: Use the quieter wings for naptime; hold baby in a sling to navigate narrow displays.
Museum Shop Browsing:
Browse small glass souvenirs like beads or key charms in the gift shop.
Tip: Store extra gear in nearby coin lockers to move quickly with your baby.

WOW!!! The sparkles here!! You have to go on a sunny day or at least with the sun peaking through the clouds. The way the light hits the outdoor pieces is UNREAL! Loved all the indoor pieces too. Chihuly is always amazing to see in person. We had just been to Venice about a year earlier and it was so lovely to see it replicated so well here in Hakone! You will not regret exploring this museum, abs...

We went to this place during the Obon holidays and we completely loved the experience. Despite the poor weather, this place was packed and they had so many exhibitions to explore. Since we were on a time crunch to take our little one back home for his bed time, we were not able to explore everything but we know we will be back again to explore the rest. The restaurant offered a very good food; my ...

Fabulous museum, both indoors and out. A brilliantly varied mix of static glassware indoors, glass sculptures outside, a concert, and an excellent restaurant (ideal for lunch). I was expecting a tourist trap but was very pleasantly surprised. Whether you're looking for entertainment or just shade and relaxation, you mustn't miss this one.

A beautiful museum. Close to a bus station so it is easy to access. We went here on a super foggy day, so the garden was like a fairy tale. However it might be more beautiful on sunny days since the glass would be more beautiful under the sunlight. Indoor things were not that special, but the garden was very beautiful. Worth to visit.

The glass work was more European / American than traditional Japanese styling, but the blending of glass and nature was impressive. The beaded trees outside, and the hydrangeas where real and glass flowers blended seamlessly were my favorites. They have several glass workshops to make glass pieces yourself, though you need to be there at the right time, so check the schedules.
In spring, cherry blossoms frame glass roses; summer offers shady garden paths; autumn leaves add warm color; winter sunshine makes glass sculptures sparkle. Beware of slippery paths during June rains.
