How Baby-Friendly is Hakone Checkpoint?

35%Baby-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 35% Baby-Friendly: Outdoor paths suit strollers, but exhibition halls have narrow aisles, no nursing room, no diaper table and no stroller parking, making a stay with a baby short and logistically awkward.

  • Accessible restroom: The multipurpose toilet offers space and a washlet seat for baby care.

Challenges:

  • Narrow indoor spaces: The Exhibition Hall corridors are tight and lack stroller parking.

One of the best places in my overall Japan trip. The detailed rebuilt checkpoint buildings are amazing. The woodworking detail and the preservation is something to be proud of. The staffs are very helpful in explaining and the view is stunning!
