What makes it 61% Baby-Friendly: Flat entrances and stroller-friendly paths help, but no nursing room, no rental strollers, limited diaper tables, and some steep slopes make visits moderately convenient at best.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for stroller trails, picnic stops, petting zoo viewing, and a mini train ride without rushing.
Stroller-Friendly Entrance:
Enter through the East Gate ramp for smooth stroller access.
Tip: Head here first to avoid stairs and reach baby-friendly pathways.
Flat Picnic Areas:
Relax on level ground near the East and West management buildings.
Tip: Bring a picnic mat and snacks; benches are shaded in the afternoon.
Easy Forest Paths:
Follow short paved loops under the tree canopy.
Tip: Stay on the loops to keep the stroll smooth and safe for your baby.
Petting Zoo Viewing:
Watch rabbits and guinea pigs from ground level.
Tip: Stand at the enclosure edge for the best view without lifting your baby.
Mini Train Ride:
Take the Bōken-gō road train through the park.
Tip: Lap-sit with your baby; adult day pass costs ¥710.

We went at 940 am and everything was closed. We went to the worker and he said he will open things now but an hour later, everything was still closed. So many reviews saying free park but all the rides cost money and it's cash only. The train started operating but I only have my credit card. Big waste of time

We visited the park today with our Japanese grandchildren. They enjoyed the climbing, slides and open spaces. We enjoyed the beautiful sakura blossom. As many reviews mention, there are no cafes or restaurants on site but there were several food vans serving crepes, hotdogs, noodles and chips, also candy floss. The park was clean, several toilet blocks and well maintained paths. We all had a reall...

Very attractive park in the forest. Several wonderful playgrounds are on site. The playground equipment is a bit outdated, but children will still enjoy it. Being in the mountains, we experience some steep grades that are tough. There are plenty of vending machines in the park and shaded benches. We found many rare insects!

An absolute wonderful place for the family! By the time you are done here I would be surprised if your children are able to stay awake. So much fun and so much energy was burned. Make sure to bring your own lunch nothing really close by for food but it was definitely worth the trip!

Awesome park to spend a day with kids - plenty of places for them to play, look for bugs, long slides, get dirty, run around and then sleep in the car on the way back. There is also lots of nice easy trails for walks. Since it's high in the hills there is a nice cooler breeze even in the summer. Parking is 1010 yen for the day, recommend car park two as its closer to most of the things kids can pl...
In spring, look for plum blossoms next door at Tsujimura Botanical Park. In summer, use shaded benches to avoid midday heat. Rainy season can make paths slippery—wear non-slip shoes. In autumn, enjoy colorful leaves. Check weather alerts if rain may suspend the train.
