Richmond Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin (couple trip)

Great hotel in Tenjin area! I had booked for 5 nights for Seventeen concert, and it was pretty near to Christmas week. I got it as valuable price. At check-in process, you have to pay for city tax same as other hotels. Compared to others in the same price range, its room is much more larger and enough for 2 luggages. Small rooms (normal in Japan I guess). Had to pay an additional "tourism tax" or something when checking in. You have to select your housekeeping status every morning through their electronic system, which was kind of annoying. Location was pretty good; close to Tenjin shopping and some transportation lines. 15 minute walk to Canal City. Overall, a pretty average hotel.

The architecture and design of the hotel are smartly crafted, making the most of cost-efficient solutions while still achieving maximum effect. Overall, I’d say this hotel is in a very strategic location within walking distance to shopping, great food, and endless new things to explore in Osaka.

I liked everything about this hotel except the smell of smoke, but I hear the Japanese are more lenient towards smokers. Something to consider when visiting Japan.

One Asian family in the lobby, seemingly they were from the south east Asia, took a lot of amenities at once probably not to be consumed during his/her stay at the hotel. Hotel staff didn’t say anything about their behave. It was a sad moment to see both family and the staff. All the other service provided by the hotel were outstanding!
