The Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is a sprawling, family-friendly destination perfect for outdoor recreation and relaxation. A major highlight is the extensive network of paths ideal for exploring. Families especially enjoy renting tandem bicycles, making it easy and fun to cover the vast, picturesque grounds together. Visiting in early April offers a stunning bonus: the park transforms into a Sak...

Had tons of fun with the family. we're a family of 4, two girls aged 8 and 3. There are tandem bicycle, bicycle with child seat and individual bicycles to choose from. We went in early June and it was off peak. Not many flowers (as expected as not in season) but we still managed to see plenty of nice flowers. There's a middle sized zoo as well with significant collection (capybaras, kangaroos, fla...

450yen per entry, 1400 for the two seated bicycle rental. The zoo was interesting but the flower hill and the flower museum was really beautiful! The seaside view was okay. We only explored for 3 hours due to tight schedule and elderly parents were already tired, so there were more places we did not check out. I think one might be able to spend the whole day to explore this whole park.

However, we only traveled from Flower Hill to the jumping area, so the bike wasn’t really necessary. Another thing to note is that bicycles are only allowed on the outer paths and not in the central areas. That said, if you enjoy cycling, it...

It was a nice escape from the city. But if you wanted to escape the crowds of the city then don’t go on a Saturday morning when they are hosting activities for little ones and their families. The nemophila (baby blue eyes) were the star of the park. The azaleas and roses will be stunning, I’m sure in another few weeks. I agree that this is a place where you could spend half a day with small kids ...
