Babies are allowed, but narrow halls, stairs, and no nursing or diaper table mean carriers, quick visits, and off-site changing stops, so convenience is limited for caregivers.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for slow-paced exploring, breaks, and a visit to nearby baby-care facilities.
See the Fukuoka Daibutsu:
View the 10.8 m wooden Buddha statue in the main hall courtyard.
Tip: Stand on the raised platform for an unobstructed view while carrying your baby.
Spin the Rokkaku-dō sutra wheel:
Turn the six-sided wheel three times to gain wisdom.
Tip: Hold your baby securely or use a carrier; the handle is at adult height.
Explore the Treasure Exhibition Hall:
Browse Heian-era carvings and national treasures behind glass displays.
Tip: Plan a quick walk-through; seating is limited so go early to avoid crowds.

A nice temple with a peaceful atmosphere. Candles and incense can be offered on the first floor main hall for a small offering. There’s a big and impressive wooden Buddha statue on the second floor. There’s also a hallway with paintings to illustrate the hell and pure realms at the base of the statue. Entrance fee to the second storey hall is reasonable at 50 yen.

This is a very sacred Buddhist temple with a Buddha on second floor. If you are Buddhist it is highly recommend. The exhibit underneath the statue was the first I had experienced. The shrine at the side of the main temple has big mala beads which you can touch for blessing.
