Toyoko Inn Fuji Kawaguchiko Ohashi (solo trip)

An embarrassment to Japan. We booked a non smoking room and we were provided a smoking room with an Ash tray and told there were no other rooms available. The staff downstairs are very unfriendly and won't answer questions. The only good thing is a convenient location with a free shuttle and free parking.

This budget hotel tries their best to help travelers: free shuttle bus to train/bus station, free locker to luggage, self-service laundry room, fairly comfortable bed and shower, free basic breakfast for Asian and Western travelers. The „western style“ breakfast ist not really western style it’s just another form of the Japanese breakfast. Nice quaint hotel very close to the kawaguchiko lake.. rooms are bigger than the conventional rooms in Japan. They have a complimentary shuttle service too from the station to the hotel. Perfect for a cheap good hotel in the local area. Two different and great breakfast selections and the rooms were clean and well equipped. Very useful shuttle bus selection to and from Kawaguchiko station that’s just a really nice added bonus. A stones throw away from the lake and local restaurants and such.
