Great and unique experience. The rooms are not your standard hotel rooms but Japanese style with minimal furniture and ground level basic sitting. The beds are made on ground again in the evening at your requested time. The public baths are fun. The service staff is extremely polite. Nice hotel overall! Staff was amazing, they were all so kind and helpful throughout my stay. Rooms are a bit dated, but isn’t that the charm of it all? The hotel is very well maintained and clean. The staff is really kind and helped us find our luggage which we lost in Kawaguchiko Station. They even offered to drive us there! Really considerate. Tatami and futon sleep was relaxing! An amazing experience with amazing people and nature. Totally recommended!

We stayed at Lakeland Hotel Mizunosato for two nights and had a wonderful experience overall. On the first night, we stayed in a Western-style twin room. The room was decent, but the air-conditioning mainly cooled the tatami area, so the bed section felt a little warm. Wow. Stunning view from our private onsen. We booked well in advance to secure our room which was Fuji facing. The traditional Japanese-style room was huge and had its own bathroom and shower in addition to the private outdoor bath. The public onsens were also very clean and relaxing.
