Stayed for a night while one vacation. Perfect hotel for my needs. Check-in was prompt, and friendly. The room was clean with all the necessary amenities, and plenty comfortable for a solo traveler. Your standard Japanese hotel. It was a touch pricier than a normal business hotel stay (8,000 yen), but I would chalk that up to visiting during a holiday. It's also a 15 minute walk from Kofu Station,...

Given the age of this hotel, many rooms were equipped with outdated furniture, wallpaper, and lighting. Also, the hallways of certain floors had a very pungent and unpleasant stench. The bathroom in my room was small and antique looking with bidet that seemed like it came out of the 1990s. However, housekeeping was fantastic and service was top notch as with most Japanese hotels. For the price, it...

Bathroom was clean. However the futon itself had a red spots, maybe by blood, under futon cover. I don't think cleaners didn't notice it when they were preparing for the bed. Breakfast was buffet and it was good enough.

A really busy hotel for 1 night travelers. Place is really runned down. There were molds in the washroom and everything just feels old and rusty. The breakfast for $5 beat my expectation. I would recommend this add on if you don't want to run around in the morning looking for things to eat.

Helpful people who did speak pretty decent English. Good rooms, smaller than what would be normal for Western visitors, but if you are in Japan, expect small to be normal sized. You can see Mt. Fuji pretty clearly on good days. I stayed here my first week in this town. Free breakfast, but it is definitely not much and in general was not good. Overall, definitely worth the stay.
