After landing at Haneda Airport, the three of us rented a car and drove directly to the hotel. It was already 10 PM when we arrived. The hotel lobby was dark, and a guest was using his laptop by the dim light at the counter. The receptionist told us they couldn't find our reservation. It's tucked away in the forest. It's a peaceful setting, but a little removed from shops and the lake. That wasn't a big deal for us though. They have regular shuttles in and out. The rooms are spacious and the staff are great.

Love it! Pretty place, great service too. We had two days there to enjoy the area and am glad we chose to stay here. Convenient free parking just right at the compound. It’s a slight distance away from lake yamanaka so it may be slightly out of the way if you are not driving, but other than that, it is a definite recommended place to check out. Will be back!
