Maximus Residence (solo trip)

More a collection of apartments along Via Capo d'Africa than hotel residence. Reception is a bit useless (had issues being buzzed in and staff was unprepared). Rooms are spacious with kitchenette and air con but the furniture is a bit tired and could do with a freshen up. You pay for location (literally behind there are the Colosseo and the Fori Imperiali) and a place to sleep but don't expect mor...

Don’t recommend staying here. There are two different buildings, so we checked in at the location listed opposite the Colosseum and then were told to walk a few blocks down - we think this is quite misleading. The room was very rundown, bathroom flooding with water and falling apart (picture of tiles attached), we could hear every word from our neighbours in the rooms besides us - not even drowne...

I booked through booking.com for the apartment called HT Luxury Altare Della Patria. The location was amazing, so central! Everything was withing walking distance. The apartment itself was great, clean, modern, nice bathroom, comfortable bed and quite spacious and very fast Wi-Fi. Entry and exit is easy and smooth and there is a lift - so great as the apartment is on the 6th floor. Not the best ...

TLDR: Constantino's Rooms booked through Residence Maximus are not worth the cost, grossly overpriced. Can't help but feel cheated. I would recommend seeking other lodgings. We were forced to book a room last minute due to a scammy cancellation from another hotel nearby 4 days prior to our trip. I'm not sure if the room we were placed in is actually a part of this hotel as it lies down the street...

My family stayed here for 3 nights. Andrea gave us a room with the Colosseum view and he was very cooperative and responded to us promptly. The room was spacious, clean and with a kitchen. I will definitely choose this place for my future stay.
