Hotel Sonya (solo trip)

I usually don’t leave negative reviews but I feel compelled to warn others. This room was disgusting. Scum and stains all over the walls. Beds were like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. No AC. We were very impressed with this hotel. It was clean, decent part of town, and had a good deal for breakfast next door that they contracted with. I would recommend this hotel.

I booked a single so I knew the room would be small, even so it was smaller than expected. Well-equipped though, also a decent bathroom with an excellent shower. The shutters on the windows help with sleeping. The rooms are a bit tired though, with lots of marks, it would do with some attention. It was very clean though. Cons: 1. rooms are dark so you would find it difficult to spend times inside , no views available. 2. This hotel gets a lot of things right. check-in was smooth and friendly, and the location is great, tucked away on a charming little street. That said, the rooms and overall look of the place feel pretty tired. The decor is dated, and the bathrooms are tiny. I still give it 5 stars because we had a great experience.
