This was a fantastic hotel. Great friendly welcome on arrival and staff were very helpful throughout our visit. All the rooms had been refurbished recently and one floor was still being done. The hotel was truly above expectations. It’s clearly been renovated – the rooms are modern, clean, and have everything you need. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options, and the staff were very friendly and professional. The location is the same, but the hotel now feels completely refreshed. Poor hotel in a great location. They booked us into a room with a partially installed shower - no shower screen and the tray was not sealed, so water flooded the bathroom with any use. Not sure why they thought that was acceptable, the room should be vacant if it's mid-renovation. We were there for two days before eventually moving us to another room which thankfully didn't have that issue but air...

Our overall experience was very good. The only con is that the hotel was very expensive. It is very centrally located. Just over 20 mins walk to the colleseum, 23 mins to Fontana di Trevi, the church that Pope Francis is buried in is very close. We rarely had to use transportation in Rome. Bed is comfortable. We didn't try the breakfast. To busy buying pastries!!!

Hotel San Remo is all about location, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality. You can easily walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and even grab essentials from Carrefour or Pam Local nearby.
