What makes it 61% Baby-Friendly: Stroller can roll along Via Lemonia entrance and shady lawns, and fountains refill bottles, yet the park lacks changing tables, nursing rooms and smooth paths deeper inside.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time for a stroller walk, shaded picnic, and short breaks with a baby without rushing.
Stroller-Friendly Via Lemonia Path:
Follow the paved stretch from Via Lemonia entrance into the park.
Tip: Stay on the smooth section to avoid rocky spots and keep a slow pace for baby's comfort.
Shaded Picnic Under Aqueduct Arches:
Spread a blanket on the lawn near the arches.
Tip: Choose a tree-shaded spot by midday for nap time and easy access to your carrier.
Refill Baby Bottles at Nasoni Fountains:
Use Rome’s iconic drinking fountains inside and near the park.
Tip: Carry empty bottles and refill often; water is cool and fresh for baby.
Baby-Carrier Exploration:
Use a soft carrier to explore off-path areas under the ancient ruins.
Tip: Swap between carrier and stroller to reach quieter spots with uneven terrain.

Amazing landmark. The place “away from city” within the city. With some of the most amazing sunsets and sunrises.

Very quiet with sonics of trains swirling from afar. It’s got an authentic vibe not seen in the crowded tourism center of Roma. Many things in the grass fields feel surreal at the sunset, as if you’re touched by the primordial feeling of Mediterranean civilization.

Scenic park with ruins of various Roman aqueducts. Easy to get to via metro plus some walking. Beautiful park. There's also an old road that pre-dates Roman times, "via Latina antica"

Such a beautiful park!!! It was hard to get to from our Airbnb (bus and metro) which is probably why there weren’t many tourists here but it was so worth it. It has the most stunning views. It felt like another world. We came here for sunset and it was a highlight of my Rome trip.
Spring and fall have mild temperatures and blooming wildflowers. In summer, arrive early to find shade and avoid midday heat. After rain, paths can be muddy; waterproof shoes help.
