What makes it 63% Kids-Friendly: Under-12s enter free and a child-oriented audio track helps, but long quiet galleries, many stairs, and no interactive areas can bore kids quickly and require parents’ constant supervision.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: This lets you see the main galleries, enjoy the audio guide, and rest with kids without rushing.
Use the free audio guide:
Follow the English track through four themed rooms with kid-friendly stories.
Tip: Bring headphones and pause often to ask kids what they see.
Spot the Pamphilj crest:
Look for the family crest above doors and on furniture.
Tip: Challenge each child to find five crowns during your visit.
Photo break in the Hall of Mirrors:
Admire reflections in the mirrored gallery hall.
Tip: Take wide shots so everyone and the art fit in the frame.
Rest at Caffè Doria:
Enjoy a pastry or drink in the on-site café before or after your tour.
Tip: Buy snacks here since no food is allowed inside the gallery.

Absolutely spectacular place to visit, the most beautiful collection of statues, painting and stoneworks. I would highly recommend visiting as I found this to be one of my highlights of Rome, it isn't particularly busy and will give you plenty of time away from the crazy crowds you may find else where in Rome. In comparison to galleries such as those found in the Vatican, this was much more beauti...

Absolutely beautiful!!! But what I really love is that it’s not teeming with tourists so looking through the art pieces is such an enjoyable experience. Rome’s main attraction can get very crowded especially during the jubilee year so to find a quiet place is a luxury. Here you can take your time, savor the moment, without being rushed and without another person breathing in your neck or bumping i...

Wonderful gallery, not too busy, and the art was staggering in its quality and quantity! We bought tickets at the door and did not have to queue. The audio guide was very informative. Would highly recommend.

Buy a ticket in advance, that way you don’t have to stand in line. I bought mine online, then walked up and scanned myself in. It was fairly crowded for a Tuesday afternoon. They have listening devices that can tell you about the art displayed. I spent around 30 minutes here by myself but you could surely spend more time. The interiors themselves are beautiful, and I enjoyed looking at the decor i...

This museum is rather hidden. I don't see alot of crowd but I was outside and didn't purchase tickets to go in. I feel the price is rather high and would rather stick to the main places rather than museums which aren't my main interest, or probably better museums elsewhere. From here, there are lots of stalls to pickup souvenirs.
The gallery is fully indoors, so it’s ideal on rainy days or summer afternoons. Book online in high season to skip the queue.
