Fascinating place that really tells the story and history. Walking through the museum you learn the history, getting to see an original Caravaggio too was a very nice surprise. The museum prepares you for the Crypt which is Macabre but beautiful in its own right. The skill and precision of everything, but with the due respect deserved was stunning. Very much a must visit if you're wanting to visit...

An eye opening experience at the crypts. The audio guide walks you through a museum to start which introduces you to the history of the cappuchin monks. There is also a painting by carravagio inside. I don't think anything can prepare you for the crypts themselves. Beautiful and thought provoking.

A small museum about the origin of the Cappucin. Explained by an audio guide in all kinds of languages. They talk you through their history in an interesting way so you won't be bored with a long story. The last part of the museum goes through their catacombs where all the bones and mummies are for display. Some even have their skin on. So, if you have a sensitive stomach, you might think twice ab...

Absolutely bizarre. Wonderful history. Super small museum before entering the crypt, a must is the audio guide as this will make sense to what you are about to see. There is reasoning behind the ornate and spectacular collection of skeletal bones that make up the crypt. I'm so glad I dust skip this. About an hour we'll spent.

This is definitely recommended! An absolute gem while many might think that it's not. The average price for an adult ticket is 10€ and you get a free audio guide with it. You browse through a set of paintings and historical things and the you get to the crypt. Absolutely stunning, piles of bones creatively layered and so much history cramped in a place. Do visit!
Summer heat makes the narrow crypt passages feel warmer. Visit in spring or autumn for cooler conditions and shorter lines.
