The greenhouses had some interesting succulents and cacti, but overall I was slightly disappointed. A lot of the areas seemed to be closed for the season/under renovation. Honestly I think I would skip this and spend more time at park Cedro del Libano. It was incredible (and free)!

This was such a cool find! We had some time to kill before leaving Rome so we walked over to the botanical garden as it was close to our accommodation. I wish we would have given ourselves more time because there was so much to see here. After spending a few days running around at the very heavily populated tourists with crowds and crowds of people, it was so nice to go somewhere quiet and serene....

We had a wonderful time at the botanical garden. The 5 dollar entry fee was well worth it. I would have even paid 10. We got to see all kinds of plant species. We spent hours and hours just walking around reading about plants and taking in all of the nature. Much nicer than being in the city. I think the park could do better at advertising everything it has to offer. There is a butterfly ga...

A peaceful oasis in the heart of Trastevere. The Orto Botanico di Roma is a beautiful escape from the busy streets, with a wide variety of plants, including bamboo groves, orchids, palms, and a charming Japanese garden. It’s a lovely place for a calm stroll, especially in spring when everything is in bloom. Some areas feel a bit overgrown and could use more upkeep, and mosquitoes can be an issue i...

Ideally place if you love contact with nature, greenery and expect great visual stimuli. It's worth spending at least 2 hours and exploring the entire site. The downside is that some sections look neglected and very unattractive, even smelly... I think some sections need better care

Spring brings citrus blossoms and magnolias. Summer mornings offer cool shade in the Bamboo Grove. Autumn turns maples red in the Japanese Garden. Winter stays quiet, ideal for uninterrupted sketching and reflection.
