Villa Necchi Campiglio (couple trip)

Masterpiece of early Italian modernist architecture: especially for the quality of the manufacture, the elegance of design and details, the transition from classical lesson and modern language. A special thanks to FAI, the Italian organization that takes care of this as well as lot of key Italian monuments.

The story of Villa Necchi Camoglio was inspiring. It felt like a hidden gem in the city of Milan. During the visit I imagined the time almost a hundred years ago the family and its friends spending time here. The rooms are designed and structured with many details. Next time when I have a chance to visit Milan, I would like to drop by again. It feels like a nice and gentle walk.

A must see villa from the 1930s and it’s garden. The villa belonged to 2 sisters who enabled the public to visit it. It is totally furnished and there are qualitative explanations via QR code + cultural mediators on site. Garden is free and there is a nice coffee by the pool.

Great place for architecture and design lovers. Definitely spend some time meditating in the garden, the harmony of plants, architecture and art is perfect

It was a fascinating experience. I find it incredible how museums and memorial houses have remained in the same form and composition as when they were inhabited by their owners. This is also the case here.
