Very nice museum of natural sciences. At the beginning of the tour there are mushrooms and minerals. Then dinosaurs, human development and then beetles and butterflies. Very interesting and huge exhibits.

Founded in 1838 and officially established in 1853, it originated from the collections donated by naturalist Giuseppe de Cristoforis to the city. The museum was first housed in Palazzo Dugnani before moving to its current Neo-Gothic building in Porta Venezia, designed by Giovanni Ceruti between 1888 and 1893. The museu...

The best museum of natural history that I’ve ever visited! We were going to see dinosaurs but we ended up being fascinated by the things we wouldn’t expect to astonish us, such as: stones (amazing collection!) and the second floor with mummified animals from all around the world. This collection of the mummified animals was 10 out of 10! I was shocked by the quality of scenes made with animals - t...

Very interesting museum, rich collection of stones from all over the world. The first floor is more interesting than the ground floor. They paid a lot of attention to detail with the setting up of all the animal scenes. Wish more signs were in English. The staff was so so helpful and kind. My kids loved it, and I did as well.

Still, the museum is very spacious, with a wide range of exhibits, from geology to realistic scenes of animals in their natural environment, to the point where you'd think you are in a zoo lol. There's also an interesting room featuring dinosaur sk...
