Wow. The Duomo is a big cathedral. The outside appears be made up of hundreds of spires, like ornate stalagmites rising from the earth. Wisest after dark to see it lit up and enjoy the crowds. Inside it is adorned with vibrant stained glass, works of art and a crucifix that enthralled me. The size is key here. You are placed in the perspective of your size relative to god and the heavens. You can ...

Breathtaking – Day and Night! I absolutely loved visiting the Duomo di Milano! It's one of the most stunning places I’ve ever seen. I was so impressed that I went back three days in a row – both during the day and at night – and each time it felt just as magical. The architecture is incredible, especially when it's lit up in the evening. Whether you're exploring inside, walking on the rooftop, or ...

I had the chance to visit the Duomo di Milano and it truly lived up to the hype. The gothic façade is breathtaking from the square, but stepping inside was even more impressive—the high ceilings, towering pillars, and intricate stained glass create a mix of grandeur and serenity. The highlight for me was climbing up to the rooftop, where you can walk among the spires and take in sweeping views of ...

We purchased the last tickets of the day: 5:30pm. It was the perfect time as the sun was starting to set and the lighting was stunning. We choose to climb to the top by stairs which cost 16E/person. You need to book your tickets online. I recommend doing this if you’re visiting Milan. Nice view from the top and the cathedral is impressive. Takes about 5min to get to the top.
In summer, visit early to avoid heat and long lines. In winter, dress warmly for the windy rooftop and shorter daylight.
