Hotel S.Giorgio & Olimpic (solo trip)

If you are looking for an authentic old italian looking hotel, this is the place, and a great hotel for the price paid. Also at a very good location, close to the railway station and all the tourist’s attractions. 5 stars just for being the great value for the amount we paid. If it gets expensive, it wouldn’t be of such a great value

First of all, the room and beds were incredibly comfortable, spacious, and clean. We were able to leave our luggage early. The location is just a few minutes from the train station and very close to the historic center. The breakfast was adequate. We were quite pleased with the price.

The hotel is in an excellent, central location, very close to the bus and train station, where tours also depart from. We LOVED the location of this hotel and the service provided! The rooms are a bit dated but you don't go to Italy for the hotel rooms! Everything amazing in Florence is right at your fingertips when at this hotel. It is charming, quiet and clean. We loved that it had the old feel you would expect in Italy. I really enjoyed the old-school front desk staff, though some people may find it awkward, leaving your key with them every time you head out. They are very friendly and helpful with requests for directions. The room had plenty of space, the bathroom is showing its age, but is functional, and the shower has good water pressure.
