Hotel la Fortezza (couple trip)

Great hotel - felt just like home. Great front desk staff, extremely clean room that was serviced every day and a delicious breakfast buffet. Especially helpful was their access to quick taxi service. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a requested taxi. The location was perfect for us because we were attending the 2025 Florence Biennale at the nearby Fortezza da Basso.

At this price point, Hotel La Fortezza is a huge win! I secured one of the recently ‘refreshed rooms’, which I strongly recommend (Stayed in #218). Hotel is located in what I would consider outside the main or busy areas typically booked by tourists however is definitely within walking distance to some decent restaurants, parks and train/bus station. First impressions were poor due to total lack of customer service from the female on duty, upon our arrival. Thankfully our opinion improved due to comfortable accommodation, air conditioning, comfortable bed, easy to regulate shower with excellent water pressure and excellent location of the hotel.
