How Kids-Friendly is Porta Romana?

57%Kids-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 57% Kids-Friendly: The gate itself is not interactive, but entering Boboli from here lets children roam lawns and statues; however busy roads, entry fees and few kid-friendly signs cut appeal.

Challenges:

Walking distance from Ponte Vecchio but don't trust their website for the tour or walking on the wall. Best to buy tickets on site-if opened. Not much to see but the huge doors. Also accessible from the Boboli gardens. Cautiously recommended

This is Florence. In the middle of the street there is a huge door with walls and you guess the date, yes during renaissance. Just great. Walking down the gate appeared walking in 13th century. Nice experience.
