I didn’t quite know what to expect before visiting the this interactive museum. Yes, there were the usual biographical details for Leonardo, as well as examples of his scientific and artistic work. But what I really loved were the many examples of his designs and inventions brought to life. Not all of them were practical but many were. My pick for the most useful was the ball bearing assembly beca...

So interactive, visual and educational. I love that it shows more of his engineering and academic side rather than just his art (Which is amazing to). Great activity to do with children also. The fee is reasonable and the staff are friendly. We just turned up without prior booking and there was no problem.

This was the only interactive museum I've ever seen. It was fantastic getting to see the machines created by Leonardo DaVinci and actually getting to play with them! I had no idea just how many modern machines are based on his original designs. Very affordable entry tickets with no line to speak of. A great educational experience for kids as well!

We booked tickets in advance, and the staff take timing seriously, so don’t be late. The museum is relatively small and can be seen in under an hour, though you could spend longer if you engage deeply with the exhibits. It's very interesting, discovering that Leonardo was so much more than an artist. So many things he invented, a lot of it was quite unexpected for us. We liked the hands on displays. There were lots of families there with children who ask sensed to be loving the experience.
In summer, visit early morning when the rooms are cooler and less crowded.
