It was such a great experience visiting the Accademia di Firenze! The sculptures and paintings are absolutely wonderful, and the place is quite large - you’ll need plenty of time to explore. I bought a skip-the-line ticket in advance, so I didn’t have to wait at all and could enter right away. Totally worth it! Otherwise, you’ll have to queue for a long time.

If you play classical music, go to this museum. All the crowd is in the art galleries and David, and the music room gets underrated. You dont even need to be that good at music history. I am terrible with music history and I still had a great time. They had lots of stringed instrument, a few woodwinds lime the clarinet and they had some percussion instruments and my favourite was the room filled w...

The other exhibits are worth lingering for—Renaissance paintings, sculptures, and musical instruments—but let’s be honest, this is ...

Standing in front of Michelangelo's David was an experience and one of the highlights of a visit to Tuscany and Florence. The feeling of admiration and awe for Michelangelo's genius and masterpiece is indescribable. In addition to David, the gallery is rich in other statues that are equally impressive. We arrived earlier then our appointment and there was a crowd, so we have to wait to get in, and...

The Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze was one of the top things I had in mind when I started planning our trip to Florence! I am so glad we went. We did buy our tickets far in advance and still had to wait a bit. The area is very busy and they do not let everyone in at once. The gallery is stunning, it has lots of art work displayed in every room. The Statue of David of course was a show stopper,...
