What makes it 63% Baby-Friendly: A baby can stay in a stroller on the flat paving and parents can reach Palazzo Vecchio’s free Baby Pit Stop in two minutes, but the fountain area lacks shade, seating, and on-site changing tables.
Why 15-30 minutes visit duration is ideal for with baby: Babies tire quickly; a short visit lets you enjoy the fountain before moving on
Stroller-Friendly Viewing:
Stand near the fountain to watch water flow and admire sculptures with your baby.
Tip: Choose a wide paved spot on the south side for easy stroller access and minimal crowds.
Photo Break on the Ledge:
Sit on the stone ledge to feed or comfort your baby while snapping photos.
Tip: Bring a small blanket or cushion for extra comfort on the hard marble edge.
Use Palazzo Vecchio Baby Pit Stop:
Walk 1 minute to the museum lobby for a quiet changing and nursing room.
Tip: You only need a valid entry ticket to access the free Baby Pit Stop inside.

Quite a long walk to get all the way to this fountain costs around €8 to enter these gardens to walk around this area and see the views across Florence

Shut down entirely, with dirty water. There were fish in photos from other reviews, something tells me they're long dead or relocated. Not worth seeing at the moment. Go see the Poggi fountains nearby--those are free and GORGEOUSLY LUSH.

Was a very nice water fountain, was here in the early spring so fountain was shut off but the statue was very nice. They clean it at the beginning of summer so it looks much nicer than what’s displayed in my photos.
Visit before 10 AM in summer to avoid heat; in winter, watch for slippery stones after rain.
