Around the palace the gardens are well kept, but further in there ia a surprising amount of maintenance work needed. Also surprising: the almost complete lack of flowers in September and the many fountains that were turned off - maybe to save water? Although it was not hot. I hope that our relatively steep entrance fee of €10 per person goes towards the necessary maintenance. Important to mention ...

Great time! We were not planning on going but ended up there after fighting the crowds of Ponte Vecchio we decided to try it out. WOW! It was a phenomenal place to wander around and get some great views of the city, see some amazing statues, gardens, fountains and nature! What a change! We would recommend for anyone! I would take a lunch or picnic if we made it back- so much to see historical...

The gardens were quite peaceful, lots of places to sit down at the end furtherest away from the palace. We went early in the day so it wasn't too hot to walk up to the top as its very step. Well worth the climb though for the views of the city from the top.

One of my favorite places in Florence! We visited in August when the temperature was around +40°C, and the gardens were the perfect spot to cool down, rest, and enjoy nature. The park is huge, with different zones filled with a wide variety of plants. There are lots of drinking fountains (a big advantage on hot days – bring a bottle to refill), and plenty of benches where you can sit and relax. P...

Everything you can find here is within 10 minutes walking. There are several public restrooms and plenty of places you can take a pause on a bench. There is also a beautiful view over the Tuscan landscape (I forgot the name of t...
