The programme lists puppet shows and festivals for ages 3–12, offers family tickets and post-show meet-and-greets, but there is no playground and long sitting times may tire restless children.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time for a matinee show, pram storage, snacks and a meet-and-greet without rushing young children.
Attend 'A Big Egg' puppetry show:
Enjoy an interactive sing-along with life-sized puppets designed for ages 3+.
Tip: Book the €50 family ticket and arrive 15 minutes early to choose seats together.
Watch 'There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly':
Experience live puppetry, fun songs and colorful characters.
Tip: Select aisle seats for quick breaks and check that all kids meet the 3+ age recommendation.
Join Small Size Day events:
Take part in Mollylu’s Circus Playtime or The Fairy Fixers during Baboró festival.
Tip: Purchase a Baboró day-pass at baboro.ie and confirm event times in advance.
Meet performers after matinee shows:
Let children take photos and get autographs with the cast.
Tip: Stay at the stage door after the show and have a camera ready.
Check Galway’s Baboró Children’s Festival in late October for extra kids’ shows at the theatre.

We were looking for something to do in the evening and came across 'The Cave' playing here. We were able to get stand-by tix by walking in 10 mins before the show started even though the theater was pretty full. ion the playbill it seemed like the perfect show, after spending a week in Sligo!! Staff at the theater are helpful and kind and all-around lovely! The show was much deeper than the black ...

Arrived with a group of 28 teenagers & adults and they couldn't do enough to ensure everyone was happy! Food was delicious and something for everyone on the vast menu(no mean feat with a group of our size) top service from the friendliest staff! Thanks guys x

Beautiful place with a bar on the first floor. My only gripe are the chairs, they are quite stiff and if you're as tall as me (6'4) you'll have problems fitting in and not be in pain after a while.

the show was so great that the not very comfortable seats and little legroom couldn't ruin the experience
