Paths are stroller-friendly and the 24-hr kitchen warms bottles, but no dedicated changing room, token showers, and wind on the exposed shore mean extra planning for babies is needed.
Why 1-2 days visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time to settle into your pitch, enjoy beach strolls and use campsite facilities at a relaxed pace.
Quiet Beach & Promenade Stroll:
Push the pram along smooth paths beside Galway Bay.
Tip: Aim for early morning for calm waters and fewer crowds.
Beach-Side Picnic:
Use campsite tables or bring a blanket for lunch by the shore.
Tip: Pack easy-to-eat snacks and a sunshade for baby.
Camper’s Kitchen Baby Meal Prep:
Warm bottles or blend soft foods any time in the 24-hour kitchen.
Tip: Bring insulated bottles to keep feeds warm longer.
Kids’ Play Area:
Let baby crawl safely in the enclosed play space near reception.
Tip: Stay close to supervise on swings and climbing frames.
In summer, arrive early for shade and quieter beach spots. In spring and autumn, pack windproof layers and check kitchen opening hours.

Fantastic camping and caravan park. Very well looked after and extremely well run. Plus they give you a unreal apple tart at certain times of the year. Some beautiful views of the sea. One thing everyone needs to know is you can't book online or on the phone. You turn up the morning of and hope you get a place. (Most times you will get a space if you are there at 11/1130.)

It's a well kept site in a lovely spot, a 20 min bus ride to gallway city centre, 20 min walk to salthill, but they do somewhat pack you in, its quite pricey and you pay €1 for a about a 5min shower, but the facilities are very clean. Turn up around 11am if you want a pitch as its first come first served as you can't book

Great campsite has everything you need. Excellent location, easy in to Galway on bus or just a 50min shore front walk which is what we did. Very helpful, great tip on a coffee shop and squeezed us in with a sea front view for 1 night with electric, thank you

Upon arrival we received a warm welcome, they had a well furnished kitchen and seating area. Campsite was a bit cramped and exposed to public but maybe to be expected during busy seasons. Location very convincing and beautiful scenery. Overall a positive stay, thank-you for having us.

Really expensive, overcrowded field, with okay facilities. Whilst there is a camp kitchen, you pay for everything. Showers are 1 euro and only warm. Washing and drying is 20 euro, the most expensive we have seen in 10 months of travel. Even the taps at the wash basin turn off before you wash your hands properly. It's an okay location, but absolutely outrageous prices.
Item | Cost (Approx.) |
---|---|
Electric hookup (10A) | EUR 10 |
Shower tokens (4 tokens) | EUR 4 |
Laundry (optional) | EUR 20 |
Total Estimated | EUR 34 |
