Children are allowed, but narrow aisles lined with fragile crystal demand constant supervision, offer no play area, and create high breakage anxiety, so entertainment value for under-12s is very limited.
Note: Galway Irish Crystal is 40% Kids-Friendly. You may want to consider other Kids-Friendly Things to Do in Galway for a more suitable experience.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time to browse, get engraving, and enjoy a snack without tiring children.
Browse Crystal Collections:
Walk through the showroom to see Claddagh, Celtic knot, and harp designs.
Tip: Let each child pick a small souvenir to keep them engaged.
Watch Engraving Demo:
Ask staff to demonstrate the freehand engraving process.
Tip: Schedule your visit to catch a live engraving session and involve kids in choosing a message.
Visit PoppySeed Café:
Take a break upstairs with coffee, hot chocolate, and light snacks.
Tip: Use the lift for easy pram access and enjoy the seating area with children.
In summer the showroom warms up by midday; visit early. At Christmas, browse holiday gift sets and arrive early to avoid queues.

The customer service was exceptional too - the glasses arrived e...

Sad to say, I only went to the restaurant and was disappointed. Service and staff were great and attentive. Poached eggs were hard, hash Browns were soggy, but the brown bread and mushrooms were fab. Ambiance was fab also

They also have a ...

Went for gifts and christmas decors. Complete with great range of glass and crystals, and loads and loads of christmas decor. Great quality, reasonably priced. They have coffee shop on the 2nd floor. Helpful staff. Good parking spaces.
