What a cool design for a museum. There is so much history about Galway, from the poets to its fishing history, and all the people who once walked the streets shoeless. I love the historical model facing how the town across the bay now looks. Oh! And the Legos throughout the museum.. Nice touch.

As you wander the top floors explore their current super human exhibit and see the progression of modern medicine and dive into ...

The Galway City Museum has a great collection of historical pieces from the local region as well as an overview of how this fits into Irish history. It's free! The building is airy and modern and it has some great views over the river Corrib. Definitely worth a visit especially if you have just passed through the Spanish Arch.
