Disappointing customer service and facilities in room. Baring 4 hangers, our room had no storage. No wardrobe, no drawers, no shelves in the bathroom... We were forced to live out of a our bag for the duration of our stay. This is not acceptable in a hotel of this standing. Furthermore, the customer service was lacking and inconsistent at best. Service not so generous (complimentary G&T for guests was not allowed to be switched for another drink which felt a little ungenerous), breakfast had options but was fairly bland and a lot of upstairs guest noise in the bedroom - better sound insulation needed. The area and the ambience of the hotel grounds is amazing, however. Underwhelming for the money.

The front desk staff are friendly and...
