What makes it 62% Kids-Friendly: Kids aged 7-12 enjoy hitting drums and watching the short rock film, but steep stairs, loud sound levels, and lack of wheelchair or pram access make the visit only moderately family-friendly.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for the guided tour, jam room play, and outdoor mural visit without tiring kids.
Guided Tour:
Explore rehearsal rooms used by U2 and Thin Lizzy with stories of Ireland’s rock stars.
Tip: Book the family tour slot to keep all four together and engage kids with interactive demos.
Jam Room Session:
Play real drums, guitars, and keyboards in authentic studios.
Tip: Encourage kids to try each instrument; let them take turns leading a mini jam.
Cinema Screening:
Watch a short, age-appropriate film about the rise of Irish rock.
Tip: Choose a morning showtime to help kids stay focused and avoid afternoon crowds.
Wall of Fame Mural:
Pose by the outdoor mural honoring U2, Rory Gallagher, and more.
Tip: Visit before or after the museum tour for free photo fun on Curved Street.
Summer months are busy; book tickets online in advance. In winter, afternoons are quieter and more comfortable.

This exhibit is in an existing recording studio. The tour gives you a lot of interesting facts about Irish Rock... Especially for U2 and Thin Lizzy. Well worth stopping in to experience!

An absolutely brilliant experience! Loved the tour, it was such a unique find! Got to hear a lot of interesting stories, would recommend doing this to anyone interested in learning more about irish rock music! Also, special thanks to our guide, Anto! You made my experience so memorable and gave me a whole new playlist to be obsessed with :D

We booked a visit with Elie (friendly french guide). It was awesome. Indeed, Elie managed to transmit us his passion by the way he narrated the Irish Rock'n'Roll Story. We recommend the experience.

Phenomenal tour. Was lucky to be given the tour by Elisa. An incredibly knowledgeable and humorous tour guide. The visit includes a detailed look into artists and bands who recorded on the premises (and close by), a detailed history of Irish bands and artists including Thin Lizzy, U2, Sinead O’Connor, and many more. I would highly recommend a visit if you’re a huge music nerd like myself!!

Absolutely enjoyed learning about rock artists from Ireland. Great history of famous studio artists, and the impact of their music. Am looking forward to learning more about a few I hadn’t heard of before whose music I enjoyed! Also loved the time to play instruments in the rehearsal studio! That was a blast. Brian was a fantastic tour guide and clearly knew his music and musicians.
