What makes it 88% Couple-Friendly: Couples enjoy romantic 360° vistas, quiet picnic lawns, and a cosy tearoom for coffee on the same route; only moderate uphill stretches add mild effort but rarely deter pairs.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Enough time to hike to the summit, take photos at the wishing stone and relax at the Tea Room Café.
Obelisk Path hike:
Follow the 30–40 minute Obelisk Path to reach the 1742 stone obelisk with 360° views of Dublin Bay, Bray Head and the Wicklow Mountains.
Tip: Start early to catch clear views and avoid midday crowds.
Wishing Stone photos:
Snap selfies at the small pyramid "wishing stone" near the summit with sea and hill backgrounds.
Tip: Frame the stone with the bay in the background for depth.
Hilltop picnic:
Use the grassy benches around the obelisk for a picnic lunch while watching ships pass below.
Tip: Pack a light picnic and a blanket for extra comfort.
Tea Room Café stop:
Enjoy coffee, tea and homemade cakes at the cosy Tea Room Café by the Dalkey Avenue entrance.
Tip: Order a slice of Victoria sponge and sit outside under the trees.

Unreal scenery. A must walk thru. Drive is harder but also wonderful. Go to the beach if you can.

Really great little park. My daughter loved it. Especially the wooden horse with a cart. There are things to jump on, twirl around or swing on, climb and see saw. The only thing it doesn't have is a restroom.
In summer, hike in the late evening to enjoy golden hour light. In autumn, admire changing foliage on the woodland trails. In winter, wear waterproof boots for muddy paths.
