My review is just for the grounds and the outside. I have not gone in. The outside is absolutely lovely and the grounds inside Phoenix Park are beautiful. There is so much nature right in the heart of the city, it’s a great, peaceful place.

FREE tickets to visit the President's residence on Saturdays (first come first serve at the visitor center). Was easily able to get tickets for the first tour at 10AM by arriving around 9:30AM. Super in-depth tour with knowledgable guides. No pictures inside unfortunately.

A free tour for first-come-first-serve basis. Took me years as a Dubliner to finally wake up earlier on the weekend to see the president's residence. I'd recommend it. Seeing the different rooms, their functions, their history & the portraits were a treat. Our guide was good though there were a couple of questions which went unanswered. Saw some of the president's dogs there too.

Attended the free tour today of our presidential residence. What a magnificent building with a vast history . Fantastic tour guide and then to be brought around the gardens by the head gardener of 18 yrs Robert explaining all the different trees and flowers . Would highly recommend.
Guided garden tours run June–October; winter tours end earlier and gardens are closed. Visitor Centre is closed Mon–Tue Jan–Apr.
