Maldron Hotel South Mall Cork City (solo trip)

Excellent location just a few minutes' walk from the city center. Close to the train station and only a short taxi ride away. Spacious and quiet room. Large and clean bathroom with plenty of space to place toiletries. Reception staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is very good, offering a wide variety of products.

The room was clean, spacious and lovely. The bed and pillows extremely comfortable. We bought the breakfast and there was plenty to choose from and delicious. The employees were very nice. We loved that we got a discount and was able to pay for our parking there. We also love thst the Q park was not far from the hotel.

Everyone was very friendly and patient. This was our first visit to Ireland from the US. When we had questions about the area, everyone was helpful in answering our questions. There were a few workers who we struggled to understand due to our different accents. They never got upset with us for requesting them to repeat what they said. Good for the price you pay and good value for money. However, when we first arrived, there were no face towels provided. Three of us were staying and only two bath towels were provided. The tap had low water pressure and the TV remote didn’t work. We were also staying in a room in what felt like the basement and our view was a wall. I feel like our stay could have been better!
