We had a lovely weekend at the Clonakilty guitar festival. This is a lovely, quiet hotel, clearly family owned because you can feel it in how the staff interacted with us. Delightful and cosy hotel situated within the town centre square with historic views and great friendly locals. I was blown away at how friendly and accommodating the staff were. We travelled from Kildare to Clonakilty for a wedding and we requested early access to our rooms if possible so that we could change, freshen up and head straight to the wedding reception. Comfortable, spacious room with great bathroom. Unfortunately we were only there for 1 night, as I would have happily stayed longer. We did not partake in breakfast, but the dining room looked lovely. We were visiting Lough Hyne, so this was a lovely mid-way option for continuing on to Cork.
