Positives:

  • Easy parking: Free Park & Ride parking at Black Ash with your match ticket about a 5-minute walk away.
  • Welcoming crowd: Local fans cheer loudly and often wave flags to get kids excited.

Challenges:

  • Exposed seating: No roof cover over many stands—rain and wind can be strong.
  • Event-only access: The stadium is closed on non-match days—plan around the fixture schedule.

Only issue for concerts is that Heineken has the monopoly for drinks and there is not a lot of choice. Other than that great night. Well organized.

While visiting cork we saw signs of a rugby game. We asked for directions & took an Uber. What a nice stadium. We were watching the MIXED ABILITIES RUGBY WORLD CUP! It was such a fun time. We loved every minute of it. There was food and drinks available and all of it was great!
