Trabolgan Holiday Village - Family Holidays & School Tours in Cork (solo trip)

I tried to bring my niece as I had many fond memories of trabolgan and when we showed up it was closed and is housing refugees with over 3 years.

Just seems like a place holding on to a thread. Absolutely overpriced. And Absolutely outdated. The house was very run down to be honest and the general upkeep of the whole place seemed poor . Overall, we had a good time. Plenty to do on site and the evening / night time entertainment in the plaza was great, especially the staff running the evening really made it a fun time for the children. The activities on site where good but some of the staff couldnt of cared less about the quality of service they gave but I stress some! Most where very helpful. We had a great time. Stayed Monday to Friday in one of the little cabins. It was spotless, and all the kitchen and bathroom were very modern. We were blessed that the weather was good. Didn't have a dull moment as there is so much to do. The activities do cost extra so be prepared for that as we did spend quite a bit for a family of 3. Fantastic place to come with kids. We stayed for four nights over the bank holiday weekend. Entertainment from 10AM each day and runs until 7 or so in the evening when the adult entertainment begins. Good live bands each night. Apartments are basic but very clean and have everything you could want including full kitchen. Very warm.
