Seasonal pantos and relaxed shows welcome under-12s and tours spark curiosity, yet seating rules, no play area and scarce stroller space mean parents must supervise closely.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Fits a show and a quick tour without tiring young children.
Attend a Family-Friendly Show:
See summer musicals like 'Humans: A Robot Musical' or films such as 'Fox and Hare Save the Forest'.
Tip: Book tickets early; pick shows marked for ages 4+.
Take a Behind-the-Scenes Theatre Tour:
Explore backstage areas and hear fun stories about the 1897 stage.
Tip: Book Wed or Sat tours online; kids love hidden spots.
Join a Post-Show Talk:
Let kids ask performers questions in the bar after select shows.
Tip: Stay after the show; check the schedule for talks.
Choose a Relaxed Performance:
Use chill-out areas in the foyer during shows for movement breaks.
Tip: Look for 'Relaxed' on event listings; arrive early to find the space.
Enjoy kid-friendly musicals in summer; during Cork Film Festival in October, catch special children’s screenings in the Everyman cinema space.

Great theatre! I just been here recently to watch the girl on the train (great show), and liked the atmosphere and layout. Will come back here again for sure 👍

Lovely comfortable venue. Nice bar. There are a lot of stairs to the balcony and its a twisty walk! but there are no bad seats.

Attended the Wrong Jovi gig 29/3/24, beautiful cosy venue and the best tribute band I've seen, the closest to the real thing you'd ever come across and a big shout out to seanie who was very helpful with a situation.

I have no complaints about this theater. Saw a Christmas Panto here with the family and it was a lovely little theater. It feels intimate, but I didn’t feel like it was too tight. Seating grade isn’t too steep so for smaller kids it could be hard to see around a taller adult. There is a second level, and a really nice little lobby with a bar. The sound and lighting were both good. A great experien...

Recently we went to see “Waiting for Godot” at the Everyman. It was a great night and an amazing performance. The Everyman theatre has a Victorian style. It’s one of the oldest building in cork (it was built in 1840). I loved the ceiling! The staff were very helpful, smiling and greetin when we arrived and when we left. Really worth a visit!
