Kids up to 12 can wander bastions, spot cannons, and hear vivid siege tales, yet parents must guard them on high edges and accept a lack of child-focused hands-on displays.

I don't know if this is normal, because I've only been to Elizabeth Fort once before, but this time it was during cork on a fork, so they had food and artists set up in the courtyard! So you can do all the standard stuff where you wander around on the battlements and look at stuff and get a good view of the city and the breeze and just kind of soak in Cork, and then on top of that you can see int...

Small historical fort. A shame that it's stuck right in the middle of the city. The entrance is pushed back from the road between a plumbing shop and a bar. Quick tour but it's free and you can take the time to read the plaques and get the history. Nice views of the city.

Good educational tour about Cork history available. Cork will make more sense after you take the tour here. If you have a sunny day and just want somewhere to lounge around on some grass in the afternoon - a small lawn area with games makes for a casual afternoon. Kid friendly.

There are info panels which are pretty good, but the colour has scratched off with time and they’re kin...
